Portuguese Lessons

This is a HTML version of a series of Portuguese lessons Cecilia Cabral de Mello, my wife, is giving at BCAE on Wednesday evenings. We will be learning continental Portuguese, as spoken in Portugal, not Brazilian Portuguese.

General Principles

• We have added a bibliography and textbook list. Many of the lessons will use ideas or grammar rules from the textbooks. Conjugations of verbs in the dictionary will generally come from (2).
• The clicking on a Portuguese word will make the English translation for each word appear in the dictionary frame.
• We will conjugate the verbs, and add the tables of the conjugations.
• At some point, we will add sounds so you can hear the correct (well, the Lisbon version) pronunciation.
